  20. I'm planning to monitor a seriell port which pipes out a lot lot
  21. of logging data and looking for suitable tool .
  22. I only have very little experience with kermit . But I'm wondering if it
  23. could do the job . It must be a kind of script which

  26. - open a file
  27. - read data writes it into the file
  28. - after a certain time closes the file
  29. - (preferably can zip the data before stored)
